They are young, beautiful and they’ll get you out of your seat – bringing you the 20s jazz scene from Chicago! The Chicago Stompers meticulously recreate the jazz of the early 20th century. Every note, as well as every detail in sound, style and dress seem to be taken from a time a hundred years ago. Their repertoire is composed of the best of those times, played with passion and respect. The band was formed in 2002 and is led by Mauro Porro. He’s an avid collector of 78″ records and has infected his other band mates with his love of “golden age” memorabilia such as instruments, records, phonographs and more.
