The seminar aims at providing theoretical and practical tools to facilitate the integration in a new socio-cultural context, namely the Italian culture. The seminar is offered to prospective students and expats in Italy.
The activities are divided in five workshops and will be focused on psycho-social aspects of intercultural encounter.
Change-related emotional aspects will be explored including expectations, hopes, fears, and dilemmas. Additionally, the seminars will address topics such identity, place attachment and intercultural communication strategies for handling and changing prejudices and cultural misconceptions.

Marta Longu holds a Master’s Degree in Social Psychology from the University of Cagliari and a Masters in Refugee Care from the University of Essex and Tavistock Clinic, United Kingdom.
