Experiential:
- Who am I? Identity definition and recognition of multiple contexts in which I can experience my identity;
- What represents myself and why (Italian art cards will be used to facilitate participants’ self-reflection and self-expression);
- Who is my point of reference? Who is my “lighthouse”?
A bit of theory:
- Personal/Interpersonal and Socio/Cultural Identity (Tajfel, 1981; Och, Capps, 1996; Papadopoulos, 2013)
Objectives:
- Raise awareness about the complexity of identity
- Raise awareness about personal, inter-personal and cultural resources
The seminar aims at providing theoretical and practical tools to facilitate the integration in a new socio-cultural context, namely the Italian culture. The seminar is offered to prospective students and expats in Italy.

Marta Longu holds a Master’s Degree in Social Psychology from the University of Cagliari and a Masters in Refugee Care from the University of Essex and Tavistock Clinic, United Kingdom.
