ITALIAN JEWISH KITCHEN EVENING | Lecture and food tasting, by Susy Cesana Amram

On the occasion of the “First Italian Cuisine Week in Israel”, lecture and food tasting by Susy Cesana Amram.

After a brief introduction on the history of the jewish italian kitchen Susy, with the music accompaniment of her father, Prof Renzo Cesana, will offer degustation of typical jewish dishes from different Italian regions, and will explain their preparation.
In the menu you will enjoy appetizers, first, second and side dishes, desserts with origins in Veneto, Lazio, Toscana and other regions. Between the dishes you will taste “pizza bianca con la concia”, from Rome, “bruscadelle piemontesi ” and the venetian frisensal. At the end of the evening the guests will recive a copy of the recipies.

Susy Cesana Amram, born in Mestre (Venice), the first child of Renzo (Venice) and Tamara (Milan). At age 6 the family moved to Rome and Susy applied to the Jewish school in the capital. At age 20 she decided to move to Israel and attended the faculty of Biology at Bar Ilan University. The family moved only some years later. Today Susy works for the Italian Institute of Culture in Haifa as Italian, biology and chemistry teacher.
Since she was a child she loved cooking, especially cakes, bread, pizzas….In Italy she worked in a laboratory of venetian Jewish patisserie and directed a kosher catering .
Today she uses her culinary experience to offer her family some delicious dishes!
