The plot: This is the story of a woman who gives hope and joie de vivre to people all over the world. Through the dialogue between the main character, Eden, and her indolent guardian angel, the book tells the life of a young Italian Jewish woman who leaves her “quiet” life in Rome to rediscover the origins of her culture. She follows the voice of an angel, who calls her to start a work of aggregation and mixture between different cultures (Jews, Christians, Muslims, Druzes). The story of Eden and her guardian angel is a viaticum, which leads into a dimension where everything is possible…
Angelica Edna Calò Livnè (1955) is an educator and advocate of peace through arts, among children from different religious and cultural backgrounds. Born in Rome, Italy, she was one of the leaders of the youth Zionist Movement Hashomer Hatzair and she studied in the Rabbinical College of Rome. She has a B.A. degree in Social Theatre, M. Ed. in Integrating the Arts in Education and a PhD in Italian Literature. She has received several awards for her activities for peace and was candidate to Saharov Prize by the Euro Parliament and Nobel Prize for Peace 2005. She has written various books in Italian and has given lectures all over the world about her rich experience of peace educator.
