On 11 June at 11:30 AM (at 12:30 PM in Israel), New Italian Books – a new website dedicated to contemporary Italian books and authors who deserve to be visible worldwide and translated into other languages, available both Italian and English – will be introduced to the public.
New Italian Books is an initiative of the TRECCANI Institute, the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, the Centre for Books and for Reading (MiBACT) and the Association of Italian Editors, with the aim to promote Italian writers and books all around the world. It addresses editors, publishers and copyright agencies, but also teachers, students of Italian language and all Italian culture lovers.
The presentation will be broadcasted in live streaming on TRECCANI’s Facebook channel (https://www.facebook.com/treccani/posts/10158426210699559) and will be introduced by H.E. Mrs. Marina Sereni, Vice-Minister of Foreign Affairs.
Other key speakers will be Ambassador Lorenzo Angeloni (MAECI), Mr. Massimo Bray (Director General of Treccani), Mr. Romano Montroni (President of Cepell – MiBACT) and Mr. Riccardo Franco Levi (President of AIE).
After the press conference, there will be a round table with the participation of Mrs. Helena Janeczek (winner of Strega award in 2018) and Mr. Federico Andornino (Editor of Weidenfeld & Nicolson press). Mrs. Cristina Feloci (Journalist) will be the moderator.
