In the year marking the 100th anniversary of Pier Paolo Pasolini’s birth, the Italian Cultural Institute in Haifa honors the Friulian writer and director through the works of Adrian Paci, and analyzes the sources of inspiration shared by both artists. Adrian Paci’s career was inspired by Pasolini’s sensibility and Pasolini’s gaze has often rested on many of Paci’s works, influencing his approach and themes, contaminating an artistic work that combines art, memory and the will to speak in the present tense.

Adrian Paci was born in 1969 in Shkodra, Albania. Today he is an artist known worldwide for his video installations (one of which, Still Voices, is currently on display at the Haifa Museum of Art) and for his works, that mix or alternate genres and means of expression, from painting to photography to sculpture to video. We recall, among others, the works inspired by the gaze of Pier Paolo Pasolini: Secondo Pasolini, the Pasolini Chapel, The Via Crucis.

Event in Italian, in attendance, free of charge.
