XIII Italian Film Festival in Israel, a project by the Italian Cultural Institutes in Haifa and Tel Aviv, in collaboration with Adamas and the Israeli cinematheques.
Every spring, the Italian Cultural Institutes in Haifa and Tel Aviv present the very best of recent Italian cinema, together with a selection of especially significant masterpieces from the past.
Cinema Italia 2026 unfolds in two strands: a contemporary programme, featuring six films released in Italy over the past year, and a classic retrospective dedicated to director Michelangelo Antonioni, with four of his finest works.
In Haifa, the festival opens with a screening of The Tasters by Silvio Soldini. The contemporary programme also includes Fuori by Mario Martone, based on the autobiographical works of Goliarda Sapienza, and Primavera by Damiano Michieletto, set in Venice in 1716 and telling the story of Cecilia, a young orphaned violinist, and the celebrated composer Antonio Vivaldi.

All films are screened in their original language, with Hebrew subtitles. Some films also include English subtitles. The film L’avventura is presented with Hebrew and Arabic subtitles.
