FROM MASTROIANNI TO THE NEW GENERATION OF ITALIAN MOVIE ACTORS | Film festival

Event co-organized by the Italian Cultural Institutes in Haifa and Tel Aviv, in collaboration with Adamas, Cinecittà, Cinema Italia and the Israeli cinematheques. All movies are in Italian, with Hebrew and/or English subtitles.

IX edition of the Italian comic cinema festival in Israel with: a] some of the best comedies of 2024; b] a classic section dedicated to Marcello Mastroianni, 100 years after his birth.

The Italian-style comedy is a comic-satirical film genre that flourished between the 1950s and the beginning of the 1980s. The aim of the genre was to entertain, but in reality it discussed and criticized the values of the changing Italian society, with sometimes very biting irony.
