Music expresses that which cannot be put into words and that which cannot remain silent | Victor Hugo
MOMENTS OF GRACE is a musical project created by the Italian Cultural Institutes in Tel Aviv and Haifa in collaboration with the Felicja Blumental Music Center Association, in the hope that music could somehow act as a balm for the soul in this dramatic historical period.
As a matter of fact, the two Institutes share with the citizens of Israel the indignation for the bloody massacre perpetrated in the South of the country on 7 October, the pain for the death of innocent victims and the apprehension for the fate of the hostages.
The title – Moments of Grace – refers to an expression used by Eshkol Nevo to define small gestures and daily acts expressing closeness and empathy towards others.
Every Thursday, from 11 January to 7 March, a series of short recordings of musical pieces by Israeli composers will be shared on the Facebook pages of the two Institutes.
