Taking as inspiration the recent episode of the stumbling blocks outrage in the Trastevere district of Rome, Adachiara Zevi talks about the theme of memory and the link with history through an unprecedented international museum geography which has its point of arrival in the widespread stumbling stones project. Starting from the assumption that the expression “by defect” means defect of “staticity, hieraticity, persistence, dimensional hypertrophy, symmetry, rhetoric, refined materials, eloquence, expropriation of emotions”, the scholar’s investigation develops precisely from these elements, which allow us all to move along the paths of monumental memory and the “Jewish” architecture of memory.
