The Italian Cultural Institutes in Haifa and Tel Aviv present A TRIBUTE TO MARCO BELLOCCHIO, a special movie program organized in collaboration with Cinecittà, Adamas and the Israeli cinematheques. All films are in Italian, with subtitles in Hebrew and English.
On the occasion of the Israeli release of Kidnapped, Marco Bellocchio’s latest movie on the origins of anti-Semitism – a theme unfortunately even more relevant today after the tragic events of October 7 – the Italian Cultural Institutes in Haifa and in Tel Aviv honor one of the greatest Italian and international directors. Bellocchio won both the Career Golden Lion at the Venice Film Festival and the Honorary Palme d’Or at the Cannes Film Festival. In addition to Kidnapped, the program includes three of Bellocchio’s most recent movies: The Traitor (2019), Sweet dreams (2016), Blood of My Blood (2015).
