Venice International University and the Centro per il Libro e la Lettura, an autonomous institute of the Ministry of Culture under the Directorate‑General for Libraries and Copyright, have published a call for applications for a “Residency for Translators from the Italian Language”, which will take place in Venice, at the University’s San Servolo campus, from 26 July to 23 August 2026.
The call provides for the allocation of no. 8 positions reserved for foreign translators whose mother tongue is German, English, Spanish, French, Chinese, Japanese, or Arabic, for a 4-week residency to be held in the above mentioned period, at Venice International University, which will make available its facilities, including the library, offices, and common areas, and will provide each translator with board and lodging.
