PETERSBURGSelected views of the Imperial Gardens in Peterhof and of architectural heritage in ItalyThe exhibition of watercolor paintings presents the selected views of the Imperial "Capital of Fountains" – the Ensemble of Parks, Palaces and Fountains in Peterhof (Petrodvoretz) near St. Petersburg. It shows fountains, terraces, palaces and garden pavilions of the Upper Garden and the Lower Park, which were planned, arranged and built with the significant contribution of Italian masters and architects in 18th – 19th centuries. Enriching the Italian connection and linking urban and garden landscape, the exhibition brings along the selected views of architectural heritage of Italy, e.g. of Rome, Trani, Venice, including water theatre as an important architectural element.
