XIII Edition of the Italian Language Week around the World CONSERVATION IN ITALY. ART AND TECHNOLOGY IN THE ACTIVITY OF THE HIGH INSTITUTE FOR CONSERVATION AND RENOVATIONOpening of the exhibit On Sunday, October 27th, 2013, the exhibit "Conservation in Italy. Art and technology in the activity of the High Institute for Conservation and Renovation" will open at the International Conservation Center "Città di Roma", in the city of Acre (Israel). Maria Concetta Laureanti, coordinator of the exhibit and curator of its catalogue will be presenting the initiative.The event, organized by the Italian Cultural Institutes in Tel Aviv and Haifa in occasion of the XIII edition of the Italian Language Week around the World: "Research, discovery, innovation: Italy, land of knowledge", has been possible thanks to the collaboration of the International Conservation Center "Città di Roma" in the city of Acre. The exhibit is constituted by twenty four large pannels, which recount the achievment of the Instutute since its establishment in 1939, untill its most recent projects, giving a special attention to the activities in the field of conservation (architecture and its decorative patterns, monuments, archeological site, large paintings on canvas and modern art), including preventive conservation and the effects of urban pollution. The intiatve is promoted by the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs. The catalogue is published by Gangemi Editions, in Italian and in English.
