XIII Edition of the Italian Language Week around the World CREATING AND TESTING NEW LEARNING MATERIALAdvanced training course for experienced Italian language teachers In the occasion of the XIII edition of the Italian Language Week around the World: "Research, discovery, innovation: Italy, land of knowledge", the Italian Cultural Institutes in Tel Aviv and Haifa organize an advanced training course for experienced Italian language teachers wishing to scientifically test the efficiency of their work and aiming at a progressive and continuous professional improvement. The course, held by dr. Barbara D'Annunzio (Ca' Foscari University of Venice) and devoted to "Creating and testing new learning material", will be organized in three subsequent phases: PHASE 1 – A 20 hours (4 days) advanced training course in Israel, during which:- new didactic itineraries will be presented, using updated authentic material;- various techniques on how to produce learning material, using authentic documents, will be discussed;- the participants will sketch out a guided plan of various specific didactic itineraries for their own classroom, using authentic material;- various possible tools for the initial, in progress and final evaluation of the newly created didactic itineraries will be offered and analyzed.PHASE 2 – On-line monitoring of the didactic itineraries (4 weeks, on line: LMS platform) during which:- the participants will perfect the planning of their didactic itineraries under the guidance of the Laboratorio ITALS experienced teaching assistants and tutors;- the Laboratorio ITALS tutors will offer a continuous glotto-didactic consulting service during the whole testing phase of the didactic itineraries.PHASE 3 – Presentation and sharing of results obtained.During this last third phase, which will last 2 weeks and held ON LINE, both via forum (LMS) and video-conference:- the outcome of the didactic itineraries will be presented and discussed;- new theoretical and operative tools will be provided, allowing the participants to continue their work independently.Program of PHASE 1, in Israel – Monday 14th (in TLV)10:00-10:30, opening speeches by the authorities; 10:30-13:30, morning session; 13:30-15:00, opening lunch, offered by the IIC Tel Aviv; 15:00-17:00, afternoon session.- Tuesday 15th (in TLV)10:00-13:00, morning session; 13:00-14:00, lunch break; 14:00-16:00, afternoon session.- Wednesday 16th (in Haifa)10:00-13:00, morning session; 13:00-14:00, lunch break; 14:00-16:00, afternoon session. – Thursday 17th (in Haifa) 10:00-13:00, morning session; 13:00-14:00, closing buffet offered by the IIC Haifa; 14:00-16:00, afternoon session;16:00-16:30, closing discussion.
