For the series WHEN DESIGN, ARCHITECTURE & ART MEET, on the occasion of the XX edition of the Week of the Italian Language in the World: Italian between word and image: graffiti, illustrations, comics, the Italian Cultural Institutes in Haifa and in Tel Aviv invite you to the first (out of six), free-of-charge, online lecture on contemporary Italian design, architecture and art, by Olga Vanoncini. Massimo Giacon, Italian designer and illustrator, applies the medium of drawing to different creative fields: he designs for magazines, inventing characters such as Bogie for XL and Zom-Boy for Baribal, he designs for books, accompanying the texts of, among others, Tiziano Scarpa and Mimì Colucci, he designs for design companies, such as Alessi and Ettore Sottsass's studio.

Olga Vanoncini (Bergamo, Italy, 1978), MFA, visual artist and educator, lives and works in Tel Aviv, Israel, since 2014. In 2018 she opened in Tel Aviv Olga Vanoncini Studio – Educational Startup & Experimental Space – where she creates workshops of Italian creativity and culture. She is co-curator of the cultural project The Blank TR – Transit Message, which in 2018 she brought from Italy to Israel under the patronage of the Italian Cultural Institute in Tel Aviv. After the experiences of university teaching in the contemporary art sector in Italy, in Israel she specialized in teaching Italian as a foreign language. She is pursuing a PhD in Art History at the University of Haifa, Israel.
