Israel’s friendliest music festival, with the support of the Italian Cultural Institute in Haifa.
Event in the framework of the cultural program “Italy, Cultures, the Mediterranean” promoted by the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation.
Jacob’s Ladder Folk Festival is a unique musical and social event which takes place twice a year in two different formats for lovers of all aspects of folk music from Bluegrass to World music, from Irish jigs to Country Rock, from Blues to Bagpipes.
This year’s winter festival will be held on November 30th and December 1st 2018 on and around the pastoral lawns and beach and in the various indoor halls of Nof Ginosar Hotel on the shores of Lake Kinneret.
From Friday afternoon until late Saturday afternoon, the festival features concerts, dance workshops, music workshops, Jam sessions of all types in every possible corner, Juggling, and other fabulous activities in the Jacob’s Ladder spirit. Handicrafts for children and adults, swimming in the lake and pool and free camping make this a perfect weekend for singles, families, teens and seniors.
This year, the Italian Cultural Institute in Haifa brings to the festival the UKUS IN FABULA TRIO, three musicians playing famous Italian (and other) songs. So what is new? Everything is rearranged and played only with ukulele! And more! They have 2 tenor ukuleles, a ukulele bass, a special version of ukulele that plays like a contrabass, and an electronic foot drum! Actually, UKUS IN FABULA sounds like a big normal electric band with 3 voices singing and harmonizing together!

“Italy, Cultures, the Mediterranean” is a cultural program, which the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation will implement in the Middle East and North Africa during the year 2018, with the purpose of consolidating the dialogue between the two sides of the Mediterranean Sea. A dialogue based on the exchange and enhancement of different cultural and social identities and the combination of tradition, innovation and creativity.
